“Carrie Bradshaw’s tutu”

— The iconic “Sex and the City” costume that’ll be sold at auction this week. We can’t help but wonder how much it’ll go for.

The Story

TV’s biggest night is finally headed to prime time

Wait, didn’t the Emmys already happen?

Nope. The 2023 Emmy Awards were originally scheduled for Sept 18. But, in case you forgot, there was a plot twist bigger than Logan Roy’s death: the Hollywood strikes. In August, with actors and writers — both of whom are essential for the ceremony — on the picket line, the show’s organizers postponed for the first time since 9/11. So tomorrow night, the 75th Emmy Awards will honor the best and brightest shows — long after they aired. (Case in point: All of the nods for “The Bear” will be for its first season.)

Well that’s confusing.

You said it. Here’s what to know: It starts at 8 pm ET on Fox and will be hosted by Anthony Anderson, who, fingers crossed, will have more luck than Jo Koy. Stars like Pedro Pascal, Quinta Brunson, and Jenna Ortega, plus Anderson’s mom will have supporting roles. And expect HBO/Max to bring the main character energy, since “Succession,” “The Last of Us,” and “The White Lotus” earned the most nods. Not to mention, “Succession” is widely expected to sweep the drama categories. Other shows to keep an eye on? “The Bear,” which won big at last week’s Golden Globes, and “Abbott Elementary.” And, of course, expect scene-stealing moments for social media (and lip readers) to dissect. Especially since there’ll be reunions and recreations of beloved TV shows — from “Ally McBeal” to “The Sopranos” — in honor of the ceremony’s 75th anniversary.

What's Happening

🛋️ In home…

While velvet couches no longer sit well with Gen Z, more Americans are reportedly snuggling up to British-style “snugs.” Also scoring points? Game tables. And unexpectedly delightful hinge heads. Plus, turns out, everything’s coming up goth

🍔 In food…

Not to burst your bubble, but Fruit Stripe gum is heading over the rainbow. That’s as McDonald’s Big Mac will once again get even bigger. Same with pomegranates, which have become red hot on TikTok. And, from shingles to tuile, there’s a lot on plates these days.

⛸️ In wellness…

As more people are apparently saying ‘lutz go skating,’ padel is serving up a whole new racket. Ditto for clowning around (nope, not being funny). Oh and if you’re looking to make moves without really trying — and, really, who isn’t? — here’s a neat idea.
