In honor of John 10:10, a Virginia bishop is hosting a 10-hour consecration gathering Sunday — which will be the 10th day of the 10th month at 10 a.m. — in hopes of fostering what he calls a "transformational revival."
Here are some of the events that happened this week in Christian history. They include King Henry VIII being honored by the Catholic Church, the wife of evangelist Dwight Moody passing away, and Mark Driscoll resigning as leader of Mars Hill Church.
The atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation has demanded that a school district in North Carolina quit the practice of beginning meetings with Christian prayers.
Amid seemingly unending church and ministry leadership scandals and the exposure of unhealthy structures and institutions that enabled them, are long-lost offices being recovered?
A new youth program launched by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board is working along side churches to help teenagers who feel called into ministry overcome societal, emotional and personal barriers to answering God’s call in their lives.
Who thinks for you? God’s Word or social media? God’s Word or liberal authors? The Holy Spirit or the Hollywood Spirit? Are you so “woke” that you’re asleep to the things of God? Cowardliness remains silent and leaves the battle for our children. That’s a price I’m not willing to pay. Are you?
And so no matter what you see right now, I want you to believe that music that God has given you, the song that God has given you, the voice that God has given you — what it does is helps you get above all of the problems in life.
