Two workers were injured in separate incidents at the wood manufacturing firm. One worker suffered serious injuries after his leg became entangled in moving parts at the bottom of a storage bunker. Several months later a scaffolder fell more than 13 feet to the ground after a rusty plate gave way on a rooftop gantry. Both incidents led to investigations by HSE and the company were issued with fines totalling £1,068,000. The same company had previously been fined more than £2 million in 2022 when another worker died after suffering serious burns at the same plant. The Accident Book can be used to record details of all work-related accidents, including injuries from accidents at work that employers must report under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR). The book contains 50 perforated accident record forms and is designed to support users in being General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant.
