Registering high-rise residential buildings: deadline approaches

High-rise residential buildings

All high-rise residential buildings in England must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) by the 1 October 2023.

BSR is hosting registration clinics throughout September to help anyone who has started an application but hasnt yet completed it.

At the clinics you can ask an expert on the registration process any questions you might have and get practical help to complete your registration.


Waste management company fined 3m following HSE investigations

The fine was issued following the deaths of two workers in separate incidents.

HSE investigated both incidents and subsequently prosecuted Valencia Waste Management Limited, resulting in two fines totalling 3 million.

The transport and waste and recycling industries continue to cause workplace fatalities, with 21 deaths across the two sectors in 2022/23.

Gas Safety Week is the annual campaign coordinated by Gas Safe Register that focuses on ensuring the general public know how to stay gas safe.

This years Gas Safety Week runs from 11-15 September and focuses on diversity, recognising the essential role gas safe registered engineers play as trusted tradespeople in keeping householders safe.
