Dear Members,
Looks like we are finally starting to get a little help from Mother Nature. With some timely rains and cooler temperatures you can already start to see a change in the golf course.
After spending some time on the golf course with the maintenance staff, below are some practices you will start to see over the next week:
- Collars on Vale 1,3 and 6 will be aerified about 7 inches down. This will allow us to fill these holes with some nutrients and seed these areas. This will continue throughout the collars on the course.
- Green heights will be mowed at a slightly higher level. This will allow them to gain in health. While you may think this will slow down your putts, this isn’t totally true. With other practices such as verticutting and topdressing the grass will stand up tall and allow for a better cut.
- Some of our natural grass areas will also be cut down to 4-6 inch height. This will allow you to find your ball, give better visuals on the course and provide an overall better experience on the golf course.
Please find below the course rotation going forward for the next week.
COURSE ROTATION:
Friday, August 17 - Creek-Ridge
Saturday, August 18 – Creek-Ridge
Sunday, August 19 – Creek-Ridge (Men’s Legends Event – Make your own tee times) Monday, August 20 – Vale (Corporate Outing on Creek-Ridge)
Tuesday, August 21 – Creek-Ridge
Wednesday, August 22 – Creek-Ridge
Thursday, August 23 – Creek-Vale
Friday, August 24 – Creek-Ridge (Couples Twilight at 6:00)
Again, those are the “planned” 18 hole course rotations for the week ahead. Please understand if problems arise on the course unexpectedly, we will have to adjust the course rotation for proper maintenance.
