Regulators have authorised the first vaccine for use in the UK. Deliveries of the first coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine to Scotland are expected to be made early next week with injections being given from Tuesday 8 December.

Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills John Swinney announced that Christmas and New Year school holiday dates will remain as planned.
