Join us for an intimate conversation with North Carolina artist Elizabeth Bradford whose exhibition Elizabeth Bradford: A House of One Room opens at CAM March 12. Participants will have the unique opportunity to ask Elizabeth questions about her work and her process. Elizabeth Bradford’s masterful paintings originate from an intimate observation and profound reverence for the natural environment. This collection of paintings offers an invitation to share Bradford’s journey as she explores the gifts of the natural world. The reverence that she has for the environment, and all of its inhabitants, can inspire a deeper awareness of our interconnectedness and responsibility for its preservation and survival. |

Community Project Pandemic Story Quilt Return Finished Quilt Square and/or Writing to CAM by 5 PM Saturday, March 20 Art Kits: $10 each Limit 3 kits per family/purchase
Cameron Art Museum and The Advocacy Project have come together to present the Pandemic Story Quilt Community Project. Create your own story quilt squares that will be sewn together into large quilts by Bobbi Fitzsimmons and local quilters. These will be displayed in an exhibition of Pandemic Story Quilts on display at CAM this Spring.
Your Art Kit Includes:
- Two pieces of 10"x10" fabric
(one to contribute to the Pandemic Story Quilt and one for you to keep) - Five colorful permanent markers
- One ultra-fine tip marker
- A piece of lined paper
- Writing ideas/suggestions

Join visual artist Donna Moore and writer Heather Wilson for a workshop inspired by the Spring Equinox and the work of North Carolina artist Robert Johnson, whose work is featured in CAM's exhibition Safe Places. Celebrate the light and warmth of spring with mandala making and mindfulness writing.

Virtual Design NC 2021 Modernism to Maximalism: Form and Function Reimagined Thursday, April 29 and Friday, April 30
Inspiration comes in all forms: modernist and maximalist, interiors and exteriors, in person and virtually! Join Design NC and the Cameron Art Museum on April 29th and April 30th as we live stream presentations from influential and renowned interior designers Thom Filicia and Celerie Kemble along with modernist architect Robert Gurney and ornamental and architectural plaster craftsman Foster Reeve. This year’s conversations will be set in a virtual forum where participants will enjoy live discussions on these varying design aesthetics as we explore how they differ and how they might be the same. |
