Summertime arrived at Harbin bringing a gentle, temperate breeze, warming the hillsides, still lush and green from winter's heavy rains. Spring's growth was prolific, covering what remained of the stark harshness from the fire of the past, leaving summer's hills softened by time and the blessings of the rain. Harbin Canyon is so beautiful this time of year. Flowers are blooming, butterflies fly above the meadow, birds are singing in the garden, and our summertime reservations are filling up quickly! Celebrate this season's many delights with us, here at Harbin. We encourage you to book your visit soon to assure that your preferred dates and accommodations will be available.

Create Your Perfect Summertime Retreat.

In addition to soaking in the springs, Harbin offers miles of hiking, massage, yoga, music performances, spiritual events, and the freedom to wander among the gardens to your heart's content. You might be seeking silent meditation, or feel the need for wild ecstatic dancing, and then find yourself passionately writing in a poetry group for the first time or soul singing with new friends in the garden. We bring talented teachers, artists and performers to Harbin with the hope we all will discover, experience and learn about ourselves, together ~ with you, our guests, our staff and the surrounding community. Plan your visit for an event you see listed on our calendar, or simply be surprised and see what finds you once you arrive.

Harbin is an Electronics Free Zone. Electronics use is limited to the Reception Parking Lot, Food Court, and the Dining Lounge.

A few simple but important agreements we ask of our guests during your visit:

Please, no electronics of any kind are allowed at the pool area, or anywhere, except in the designated cell area(the Food Services Court and main parking lot, and the Domes parking lot). Because Harbin is a clothing optional retreat, electronics are not appropriate or allowed for the comfort, privacy and safety of our guests. We offer secure cell charging lockers for your convenience.

Please shower with soap to remove thick amounts of sunscreen before entering the pools. This keeps Harbin's spring water free of fragrances and chemicals. Reapply after your soak and shower again at the pools when you're ready for your next refreshing dip.

15 MPH sign painted and attached to a tree.

While at Harbin please drive slowly and watch for the"No Parking" signs along the roads and pullouts. To keep Harbin's roads safe in case of emergency, parking tickets will be issued for parking violations. We've added a large overflow parking lot on the Domes Road to offer additional parking options. (Maximum vehicle length must not exceed 19 feet. We do not allow pull behind camper trailers and please, no camping or tents at this new overflow parking area.)

Thank you!

Thank you for staying in touch and following our journey as we rebuild. Most of our long-time guests are aware of our history, but perhaps not all of our guests know that Harbin's historic retreat and hotels were originally built, and rebuilt, over a century, a history encompassing many generations. The 2015 Valley Fire destroyed almost all of our structures including multiple hotel buildings, conference centers and our gorgeous temple, leaving little behind. As we continue working hard to restore and rebuild these amenities we want to sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding with the construction disruptions. Please expect noise and possible disruptions during your visit (generally during weekday business hours).

We hope you agree that while rebuilding is noisy and takes time, the best things in life are worth the wait. In the meantime, do enjoy so very much what Harbin has to offer this summer!

We look forward to your visit!
