| The need for green We are feeling the need for green amid all this grey, and craving a dose of spring colour. It seems the weather has other ideas this week, so, for now we're settling for a paper garland from East End Press? Each three metre long paper garland, features ten screen hand-printed paper house plants, or flowers, or rabbits, or fish (and the list goes on), vibrantly printed on both sides on thick, hand made cotton paper. East End Press work with crafts people all over the world to create beautifully made objects using traditional crafts and processes and skilled human hands. Draped along a shelf, or winding up the banister, they bring a joyful swag of colour. Pick one up in the gallery, or order one online for a friend. They make more of an impact than a card. |

| Roll up for Riso! It's just a couple of weeks until we fill the gallery with a riot of riso prints for our next exhibition. It's hard to explain exactly how this process works, but our in-house riso officianado describes it as 'the lovechild of a photopcopier and a screenprint'. Whatever the workings, we love the retro aesthetic created by the risograph technique, and can't wait to unpack work from artists working all over the UK, including Louise Lockhart aka The Printed Peanut (above). While we don't know exactly what artwork we are getting, or if we are going to be able to explain how it works, you can guarantee it's going to be JOLLY! Just the antidote for a loooooooooooooooong winter. Open from the 24th March, come on down and feast your eyes. |

| Stepping out We hope you got put for a walk over the weekend, maybe even in that momentary patch of sun! Walking (with four legged friend or not) is good for the soul and, it seems, a source of inspiration too. We've got prints, cards, ceramics and books all inspired by a jaunt.
