For the past few months, the extraordinary collection – which includes former London Zoo resident Chi-Chi the panda, the terrifying T. rex and of course, the beautiful blue whale – has been patiently waiting for visitors to return.
Lucky for all of us, that time is now. As of today, the Natural History Museum’s doors are open. And while everything you love about this South Kensington treasure trove is still alive and well (yes, including the Volcanoes and Earthquakes gallery and the Creepy Crawlies gallery!) – some changes have been put in place to ensure your safety.
Here’s the big one: you’ll need to book a slot in advance. The museum is still free, but this way, you won’t have to queue. Fewer people will be permitted in the museum at any one time, so you’ll have even more space to explore 4.5 billion years of fascinating natural history. Lots of safety precautions, like one-way systems and hand sanitiser stations have been implemented, so you can rest assured that you’re in safe hands. Honestly, has there ever been a better time to visit the Natural History Museum? We dino…
The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm (last entry 5pm), and new tickets are released each week. Happy exploring, London! | |
