What Are Bars to Awards, and How Can You Avoid Them?

In the Office of Grants Management (OGM) at the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), we want to help applicants and recipients navigate required processes and policies and avoid errors that may impede a researchers grant and work.

In this post, Ill discuss a few tips related to policies that recipients performing human subjects research and conducting clinical trials must follow. There are many policy requirements that must be met to receive National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding; when policies are not followed, the consequences can include a bar to awarda withholding of support to your project until NIHs concerns are resolved.
