Sept. 10, 2021 A threat to a St. Louis Park synagogue has led the house of worship to move to online services in the midst of the high holy days. Beth El Synagogue got word of the threat to the Synagogue from the Anti Defamation League's midwest office. The threat comes amid two Jewish high holidays: Rosh Hashanah, the new year, ended days ago and Yom Kuppur, the day of atonement, begins this coming Wednesday evening. Minnesota's latest COVID-19 report is encouraging after an up-and-down week. State health officials reported 2,050 new cases today, down from the prior Friday's 2,138 new infections. Known, active cases are also trending down, with the state averaging 7,744 over the past reporting week, lower than two weeks ago.
