No global ranking

Typically, we bring you info about lists that Baltimore is on. But today, we've got an update about one that we didn't make.

Startup Genome's ranking of global startup ecosystems came out today. Peruse the list and there are plenty of neighboring cities, like Philly, DC and Pittsburgh.

But, no Baltimore.

Aside from making me feel a bit left out while my colleagues reported on this around the Technical.ly newsroom, the exclusion has me wondering why. After all, other recent reports about tech talent and specific industry growth in areas like life sciences have us right in the mix.

I sent a note to Startup Genome to learn more, but I also want to hear from you.

What does Baltimore need to do to become a world-recognized startup hub?

Send thoughts to baltimore@technical.ly, and maybe I'll include them in a story.
