Who saw the strawberry moon last night? It was at full visibility at 3:43 a.m., but I could not muster the energy to stay up for it. Send over pics if you have them!

Let's get into today's newsletter. Techstars recently hosted the first demo day for its AI Health Baltimore Accelerator. The program will continue for the next few years, and applications for the next cohort close today. More about that below.

Plus, after four years of bringing tech community members together nearly every week, UpSurge Baltimore just held its last Equitech Tuesday. Learn more about the reasons why, as well as what you can do to help its organizers figure out what comes next, by scrolling down.

Techstars will host five more programs in the region. Participating startups can also expect up to $220,000 in investment instead of the previous $120,000.

No companies in this cohort were from Baltimore, and Culbertson acknowledged that.

“We really want companies in Baltimore to apply,” Culbertson told the crowd. However, he added, “It’s not just about Baltimore companies. Many of the companies who came here, came here because of the resources we have to offer, because of the ecosystem we have provided.” Continue reading ...
