Dear reader,
On Tuesday 3 December, I’ll be joining Marina Hyde and Pippa Crerar, to look back at another dizzying year in British politics.
The start of the year seemed no different from the last five years or so. Many of us had become inured to the chaos of Tory governments, watching them implode with little help from the opposition parties. Add that to the biggest miscarriages of justice in the Post Office scandal and the continuing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. The year did bring in good news with a Labour landslide victory, but three months in it seems the honeymoon is over, we are well in ‘Starmergeddon’.
But with Labour’s backstage power struggle and Nigel Farage claiming to win the next election, not to mention the Tory leadership contest set to run and run, what else will the rest of the year bring?
You can join us on Tuesday 3 December, live at the Barbican in London and livestreamed globally, as we dissect a rollercoaster year of British politics. |
