INDUSTRY NEWS

NATIONAL: Gifting company Sugarwish has launched a snacks division, offering more than 50 sweet and savory choices like nuts, trail mix and dried fruit. A personalized alternative for corporate gifting, the service allows attendees to choose the contents of their own gifts.

LAS VEGAS: The Museum of Selfies will open at the LINQ Promenade on June 1. The permanent, family-friendly exhibition offers interactive selfie opportunities created by artists around the world, including Vegas-themed vignettes, optical illusions and more. Tickets start at $29 for adults.

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival will take place as a hybrid event from June 2-6, with virtual and in-person film screenings, masterclasses, arts programs and musical performances. All in-person events will take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre and the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Le Rouge Lounge, a 7,000-square-foot entertainment venue, is slated to open in Wynwood on June 11. Located on the same lot as MANA Studios, the space will be inspired by a 1920s French cabaret and the Moulin Rouge; it will feature a 360-degree DJ experience, a live stage draped in red velvet, space for a 10-piece band and an elevated seating area.

WASHINGTON, DC: The 39th annual RAMMY Awards will take place in person at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Sept. 19. The show will honor the accomplishments of the restaurant and food-service industry across the area, particularly those that navigated recent challenges in creative ways. Some portions of the show are expected to be livestreamed.
