Worrisome rains: Historically speaking, Hurricane Francine didn't look particularly frightening as it slid up the western Gulf of Mexico toward Louisiana. But the storm brought rains that exposed critical flaws in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish's drainage systems, shortcomings that will likely only get worse due to climate change.
Tax rewrite? Gov. Jeff Landry is hoping to call a special session to overhaul the state's tax code, replacing the graduated income tax system with a flat tax. But as Tyler Bridges reports, the devil is in the details.
