🌅 Good morning!

Parents deal with a lot, including taking children to places that are created purely for the kids to enjoy. Meg Walter knows this as much as any parent, so she wrote a survival guide for other parents.

She writes:

"There is a difference, for example, between a museum children might enjoy — like a natural history museum or a planetarium — and a children’s museum. The difference is that usually, the first is an outing the whole family can enjoy and learn something from.

"The second is an outing only children will enjoy. And parents will loathe. For adults, it’s nearly impossible to see these places as anything other than giant, crowded petri dishes full of pathogens."

For any parents, grandparents or guardians looking to take the kids out for such an outing, Meg shares tips on the following.

  • How to physically prepare
  • How to emotionally prepare
  • Know what supplies to bring

Utah's meteorological winter has been a mixed bag. What is forecast for spring?

It's been an interesting and dry winter in Utah, especially depending on where you live.

The state entered February on pace for its 10th driest and 21st warmest winter since statewide records were established in 1895, but counties ranged from having their driest December-January periods on record in southern Utah, to totals less dire circumstances in northern Utah, per National Centers for Environmental Information data, Carter Williams reported for KSL.com.

What will spring look like?

Spring forecasts suggest warmer, drier conditions overall, potentially impacting snowpack crucial for water supply.

"This means that we could get a nice fetch of moisture at least for this March outlook," KSL meteorologist Matt Johnson said.

What happens to your digital assets when you die?

Estate planning isn't just for the possessions you can touch, Lois Collins reports.

And there's more to your digital life than you probably realize, Gerry W. Beyer, a law professor and leading U.S. expert on estate planning, told her.

Americans struggle to plan for what happens if they die or become disabled — fewer than a third of U.S. adults had a will in 2024, and it's likely fewer have planned for their digital assets.

Start with knowing what assets you have. Do a digital inventory and be thorough.

What is included in your digital assets?

  • Usernames and passwords
  • Digital photos
  • Emails, texts and documents
  • Medical records
  • Tax documents
  • Social media accounts
  • Finance accounts
  • Subscriptions

Even if you do everything you can to secure and pass on your digital treasure, things can go wrong. But the risk is smaller than if you did nothing, Collins writes.
