What may be last piece of grass at Kaliste Saloom and Ambassador has been claimed

Welcome to a another edition of your Acadiana Business Newsletter. It's a Mardi Gras weekend, and let's hope the rain holds off. On to the headlines.

As the area around the intersection of Kaliste Saloom Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway has become the commercial core of Lafayette Parish, one small patch of grass has remained untouched.

Not any more. A Lafayette franchisee for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen leased it earlier this month. My multiple attempts to confirm whether a Popeyes will be built were unsuccessful, but it's what I know so far.
