Let’s get straight to the point: All Points East is back at Victoria Park this month, near Mile End station, on bank holiday weekend. What a dream. If there’s one thing the last year and a half has taught anyone, it’s that live music just hits different. It’s true. I mean, those massive speakers and the roaring crowds aren’t exactly replicable in your bedroom. At least, if you have neighbours they’re not. And don’t pretend for a second you haven’t been watching live gigs on YouTube craving the real thing. We all have been.

This year’s line-up is bringing back the festival magic with a boom. A huge variety of artists are going to be hitting the various stages across the (hopefully sunny) weekend. Whether you’re looking for mosh pits at Foals and Slowthai or ambience and chill from the likes of Jorja Smith and Floating Points, you will be spoiled for choice.

It isn’t just the four-day weekend you can enjoy this year though, there’s also in the NBHD (In the neighbourhood) where Victoria Park will become the host of free activities including live music, film screenings, children’s entertainment and more. These events, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council will run from Tuesday 31 August to Thursday 2 September. Fun for all the family, across an entire week, in good old “viccy p”. Grab your tickets while you can, they may well sell out.
