Easy! It's like a pie without a crust!

Clafoutis” is such a fun word. It’s pronounced kla-foo-TEE. (The “s” is silent.) Clafouti without the “s” is a popular spelling.

It’s easy to make and you can experiment to fit your mood.

Clafoutis (the word is both singular and plural) are simple desserts that showcase fruit, traditionally cherries. This time of year, make delightful clafoutis with blueberries or raspberries. You can make clafoutis with fresh or frozen berries, peaches, pears or apples.

The fruit is baked in a custard. Think pumpkin pie--that's a custard.
