Lucille Rivera

“Seeing the world through my eyes”

I am a Denver Native who was raised in east and north Denver.  My parents were from Del Norte in Southwestern Colorado.  I come from a family of 7, being the youngest.  I am a single mom with 3 grown children (2 sons-in-law), 10 grandchildren and
13 great-grandchildren.

Although spending the majority of my career working in healthcare, I have always had a passion for photography for most of my life.  I have been a photographer for over 15 years. When I first started out, I was fascinated with architecture because when I would look at buildings, I would think to myself “if only walls could talk; what stories they would tell.” Over time I have come to see that there is so much more in this world that fascinates and makes me wonder about what kind of stories life would tell if we would only listen.

If you take the time to really look close at all life form, you will see everything has a story, whether it be a person, an animal or a flower; they all have a story, you just have to look…. That’s what I do when I look through the lens of my camera, I see a story…

I hope as you look at my photography you will see beyond the image and see what kind of story the photo is saying to you.
