Getting ready for Thanksgiving.
| | | Hey folks, For some of you, this may actually be the first Thanksgiving since COVID that feels normal. Family is coming in or maybe you're going to them. From uncles and aunts to siblings or parents—the gang is back together. This is the perfect opportunity to really bask in one of the best feelings of all: gratitude. Some people struggle with gratitude. They wrack their brains for something, anything for which to feel thankful by journaling in the morning or following a "gratitude practice." I don't struggle with it. Mainly because I don't try to feel it. Instead, I focus on the gift of having people who love me and whom I love. I go on hikes, play games of Ultimate Frisbee or read to my grandkids. I force everyone to ride the fat bikes on the beach (great pre-Thanksgiving dinner workout) and then enjoy the meal, the laughter, and the leftovers. Simply put, I'm going to totally—or at least mostly—unplug from work and social media so I can enjoy my family and as much outside time as I can muster. When I do that, the gratitude comes naturally. |

Crafting the Irresistible Offer With George Liu |
|
Have you been spinning your wheels with social media marketing? Well, in this episode, we talk to online marketing expert George Liu. George teaches fitness and wellness businesses how to leverage paid advertising in their marketing efforts. It all begins with crafting an irresistible offer and then paying to put it in front of the necessary (and correct) eyeballs. During the episode, we get into topics such as how George’s childhood affected his life and fitness choices, how emotion drives people to buy, the role attention span plays in your ads, whom to target, and who is not in your market. We also dig into how marketing isn’t a soapbox for your agenda, how to pay (and how much to pay) to get in front of a thousand eyeballs, do images or videos work better, what affects your conversion rate, how to know how much to spend on ads, and also how to construct copy for an ad. Most importantly, George explains what the heck an irresistible offer is. Listen Now |
