Still on the fence about whether you plan to attend the 2019 ACDIS Conference, and trying to determine what’s new?

The answer is … everything on the agenda.

ACDIS does not rest on its laurels and return the same speakers and topics year-over-year. Our speakers apply and we select only the best, most innovative educational sessions and topics to keep your CDI department growing—and help grow you, the CDI professional.

Here is a small sample of some of the brand-new tracks, sessions, and speakers you can expect at our 12th annual conference:

  1. New malnutrition criteria. Hear from one of the co-authors of the new global malnutrition criteria, Charlene Compher, about the impetus behind the most recent consensus statement. Then listen as CDI expert Richard Pinson, MD, co-author of the CDI Pocket Guide, adds his CDI perspective and offers take-home tips for query efficiency. We also have sessions on advanced chart review techniques and the 4th universal definition of MI.
  2. Auditors on the podium. We are honored to host two speakers from the Office of Inspector General, as well as a second session presented by an auditor. Hear about compliance risks and learn how to bullet-proof your CDI program, straight from the source!
  3. Management and Professional Development Track. We know that change requires strong leadership, so we’ve added an inspiring Women in Leadership panel, and a session on how to be a better presenter. Engage your medical staff with confidence!
  4. Idea Laboratory Track. CDI is expanding in innovative ways into population health, academic research, clinical validation, and denials management. Be part of these exciting new growth opportunities.
  5. Amazing keynotes. Hear from a physician who ran into the chaos of the bombing at the Boston Marathon, ACDIS advisory board member Erica Remer on how to chart the course to CDI’s true north, and a former hospital COO who will teach you to be “The Lion in Your Mirror.

You can also expect a total “CDI takeover” of the Gaylord Palms. ACDIS is expecting another big crowd and has contracted the house, securing the maximum allotted rooms. Odds are, if you run into anyone from May 20-23, they’re in CDI! There is no better place to network, make new connections, and learn peer-to-peer.

What are you waiting for? Our early bird deadline ends Friday, April 5.
