Virtual CHALLENGE! Trivia for the entire family!  Thursday, July 16 @ 6:30PM

Trivia Brothers Nik and Brett Outchcunis present a rousing game of virtual trivia designed to engage the entire family! Whether you are a household of 1 or 10, you will want to play against friends for interactive virtual fun like you’ve never experienced!

ESSEM Art Studio presents Stories & Art + Activity Kits...Starting July 22!

Join Sophia Moon of ESSEM Art Studios for Stories & Art.  Starting Wednesdays July 22 through August 19 we will be sharing a new video filled with stories, song and a theme-related art project.  You can find links to videos as they are released (yes, they will be available ALL summer to view & do at your leisure) on the Children's Webpage.

Patrons can request an activity supply kit that contains material needed to complete all the projects.  These are limited and available on a first emailed / first served basis.  Please contact Carol at cbender@manchesterpl.org to request your kit.  One per family, please (we will include extra paper based on # of children in family)!

 Virtual Story Times and Book Clubs for Kids







Stay at Home Story Time every Monday at 10AM 

On Manchester-by-the-Sea Public Library Face Book Live every Monday at 10AM join Ms. Carol for songs, fingerplays, stories and more! Best suited for preschool ages and younger, but everyone is welcome to join. Please share your child's name in Facebook chat and we will make sure and include you in our hello song.

PJ Story Time Fun every Tuesday at 6:30PM

Join Ms. Carol Tuesday evenings on Manchester-by-the-Sea Public Library Facebook Live for a virtual story time at 6:30PM. It’s fun to wear your PJs and gather your favorite friends to share stories and songs. For ages 3+ but everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Wishtree Virtual Read-aloud starting Monday, July 20

We invite you to join in the reading of a beautiful and timely book: Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. Numerous copies of this 2020 Manchester Reads Children's selection are available to BORROW.

Starting Monday, July 20th all ages are invited to join Ms. Carol who will offer a chronological reading for you to listen along.  These 20 minute videos will be posted over several days and a link to the YouTube Wishtree Playlist will be available HERE as they are available and until August 30.  We hope you'll listen along.

More details will follow in August about a virtual book group and resources to share your thoughts with the community!

The Virtual Awesome Book Club for KIDS...Thursday, August 6 @ 4:30PM

Do you think reading is awesome?  Do you love to share awesome books you've read?  Do you love to learn about awesome books from other kids?  Are you going into grades 3-5?  If you've answered 'YES' to at least 2 of these questions,then YOU should join the AWESOME BOOK CLUB!

Get Creative at Home with PEM!  You will find Peabody Essex Museum inspired crafts and more!

WBUR's Circle Roundadapts carefully-selected folktales from around the world into sound- and music-rich radio plays for kids ages 4 to 10. Each 10- to 20-minute episode explores important issues like kindness, persistence and generosity. And each episode ends with an activity that inspires a deeper conversation between children and grown-ups.

Julie’s Library is a new podcast hosted by legendary actress and author Julie Andrews and her daughter, children’s book author Emma Walton Hamilton. It will launch on Wednesday, April 29 with a six-episode release, and more episodes will come later this summer!
