| Upcoming Special Events and Activities: Tanglewood Marionettes presents: The Fairy Circus Saturday, December 7 @ 10:30AM / First Parish Chapel [behind Santander Bank] Featuring over twenty beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, The Fairy Circus is a showcase for turn-of-the-century-style trick puppetry. The puppets will dance, play instruments, juggle, contort, transform, and fly through the air with the greatest of ease, all to the best-loved music of favorite composers. This title is perfect for family audiences and children of all ages. Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette theater based in New England. Large, beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, colorful sets, and integrated lighting and sound create a fully immersive theatrical experience. Our highly skilled puppeteers have spent many years perfecting their art, delighting audiences of all ages as they bring our repertoire of classic tales to life. Following the performance, please stop by the Library for fireside holiday treats hosted by the Friends for the Library, who with the Hooper Fund, have generously sponsored this program! Afterschool Story Time Celebrates: The Holidays! Tuesday, December 17 @ 3:30PM Children ages 4+ are invited to celebrate the holidays with stories, songs, craft and a snack. [cbender@manchesterpl.org / 978-526-771] School Vacation Movie Afternoon: Abominable Friday, January 3 @ 1PM Abominable is a heartwarming animated adventure about Yi, an introverted Shanghai teen who discovers a yeti on the roof of her apartment building and embarks on a journey with two friends to return him home to Mount Everest. Rated PG / 1hr 37mins Please note: Call 978-526-7711 to reserve your seat. We will have snacks but ask you bring a closed drink container for juice and water as individual plastic bottles will not be provided. Children under age 8 must have a caregiver in the Library.
