Grachtenfestival Amsterdam | | Taking place from 14-23 August, Amsterdam's famous canal festival introduces classical music to a broad audience in unusual ways - letting promising young performers excel in extraordinary venues. On the water under starry skies, Grachtenfestival Amsterdam turns the Dutch capital into the world's most beautiful concert hall once a year. The theme of the 18th Grachtenfestival Amsterdam is “Expedition”; a theme that's reflected in both the concerts and the venues. Musicians are challenged to broaden their repertoire and step outside their comfort zone, while concert stages are set up on fortresses, islands and even a boxing school. Head down to the festival this month to discover why Grachtenfestival Amsterdam is such a unique experience for both visitors and musicians. >> More information about Grachtenfestival 2015 |
