I was raised in a farming community in a modest home with five siblings. We didn't have a lot of money with "the privileges" of life. Yet, somehow, we all turned out to be responsible, industrious, well-meaning adults. How did that happen?
Could it be something as simple as family dinners? I think I learned more at the dinner table than I did in school.
According to this article in the Washington Post, eat dinner with your kids and they will be: - Smarter
- Higher achievers
- Healthier
- More likely to avoid high risk behaviors
And you'll have better relationships with them.
You'll never look at dinner the same. |
