| | What's to Eat? The Diverse Dining Options on Cruise Ships | Although I seem to always be dieting, I still love to eat, especially on cruises. The variety of venues and cuisine is so interesting and diverse! I thought it would be fun to look at the dining options on four very different cruise ships. | | Linda Garrison Cruises Expert |

| More than a Baker's Dozen Dining Venues on the Royal Princess | With more than a baker's dozen dining venues, the 3,560-guest Royal Princess of Princess Cruises has casual dining options, traditional restaurants, and some delightful extra-surcharge venues like Sabatini's and the Crown Grill that are perfect for celebrating a special event. | |

| Riviera of Oceania Cruises - Dining and Cuisine | The 1,250-guest Riviera of Oceania Cruises is a great choice for those who love a variety of dining options. Its Asian restaurant, Red Ginger, is one of my favorite floating restaurants. The mid-sized ship has several other delectable dining options, all of which will delight the cruising public. And, all but two (La Reserve and Privee) are available at no extra cost to the Riviera guests. | |

| Viking Njord - Longship Sails the Great Rivers of Europe | River cruise ships are smaller than ocean-going ships, but they still have great dining venues. The Viking River Cruises' Longships have one main restaurant, and it has amazing river views to go along with the good food. It also has a casual venue off the lounge that is a nice option for busy days. | |

| Tiny Ship, but the Food is Terrific | The Wilderness Adventurer of Un-Cruise Adventures carries only 60 guests, and sails Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Most meals are buffet and casual, but the variety, quality, and taste of the food is impressive, especially for such a tiny vessel. | |
