What's up with Jimmy G.?

Good morning, and welcome to the Wednesday, Nov. 8 edition of the Saints Insider newsletter.

Here's our roundup of news, notes and analysis:

Where's Jimmy?

When the Saints signed veteran tight end Jimmy Graham, fans were excited about the prospects of the former All-Pro catching touchdown passes in the Superdome. It hasn't turned out that way for the 36-year-old veteran. Beat writer Matthew Paras explains why in our "Saints Fans Ask" series.

Stock up (kinda)

The national media remains skeptical of the Saints despite their two-game winning streak. Zach Ewing files his weekly survey of the national power rankings and documents how the punditry views the Saints as they enter Week 10 of the NFL season.

On this date ... The kick heard 'round the world

A little lagniappe for ya....

Fifty-three years ago today, one of the most famous plays in Saints history occurred. On Nov. 8, 1970, Tom Dempsey kicked what was then an NFL-record 63-yard field goal on the game's final play to defeat the Detroit Lions 19-17 in J.D. Roberts’ first game as head coach.

That's it for today. We'll have more coverage and analysis throughout the week as the Saints prepare for their game against the Vikings in Minneapolis. Thanks for reading and subscribing.

Until next time, have a great day.

Cheers,

Jeff Duncan
