A local leader says Chinese Lunar New Year dance studio massacre was sparked by fallout between a husband and wife |
The head of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, Chester Chong, says that he believes the massacre that occurred during the Lunar New Year party in Monterey Park, California, was not the result of a hate crime. Rather, he believes it was because of a domestic dispute between husband and wife that was taken to the extreme. Law enforcement says that the suspect who shot up the Star Ballroom dance club and left 10 people dead and 10 others injured was an Asian man.
