Blight in the sky: The Plaza Tower building is back in the news, this time after the city closed down a block of Rampart Street after parts of the 45-story tower looked like they could fall to the ground. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened. Tony MacAuley has story. The growing pains of a cashless Jazz Fest: As you've probably heard, Jazz Fest went cashless this year. And you probably heard about it after the first day, which was marred by slowdowns as people lined up to snap up the fest's famous food. Ian McNulty has the lowdown on what the problems were, and what's being done to help speed things up for week two. Another highway shooting: The rash of shootings along Interstate 10 continues. Missy Wilkinson has the latest harrowing story of a near miss. By the way, we have a new newsletter in the works.
