Illinois retailers outside of Chicago that have been closed since mid-March are preparing to let customers back in stores starting Friday.

PEORIA - The chief of Peoria's police department has one message for his rank and file: actions like what happened in Minnesota on Monday, where a man died while being forcibly restrained by an officer, will not be tolerated.

PEORIA -- An East Bluff man was ordered held on $30,000 bond for allegedly being in possession of a weapon that was later used in a shooting that left an 8-year-old boy dead.

When CRC Hobbies co-owners Dave and Michael Spurlock decided to relocate from Peoria Heights to East Peoria, their primary consideration seems to be that the new premises would offer more space, which will give them an opportunity to make their store a destination, rather than just a retail establishment."We have more to offer than just parts now," said Michael Spurlock.

PEORIA - Six-time Super Bowl champion coach Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots and three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors are scheduled to present awards at the Best of Central Illinois Preps online show slated for 6 p.m. June 18.Belichick will present the coach and team of the year awards for the 2019-2020 high school sports season.
