What will it take to keep Louisiana teachers from leaving?

Louisiana loses thousands of teachers every year. Like most of the country, the state is dealing with educator shortages in nearly every subject as teachers point to an ever-increasing workload and low pay. About 7,000 Louisiana teachers left the classroom in 2022 — a number higher than before the pandemic.
