| Shalom, David here. I'd like to share something quite surprising with you. We just reviewed the latest end-of-year survey results, which showed a disturbing increase in the level of hunger amongst children within the Israeli education system. Aside from some positive trends, the Post-Covid economy deprived many families of livelihood. The sky-rocketing food prices on primary produce and inflation inevitably hit the lower-income class. As a result, the children in those families do not get proper nourishment, impacting their academic scores, attendance, and overall levels of violence and bullying. Another factor made matters worse. On Wednesday, Israel experienced the most prominent Teachers' Strike in its history. As a result, the schools were closed throughout the entire country. Those efforts were directed to the officials to improve the teachers' salaries, which are not catching up to the inflation spikes. The disturbing report about hungry children and the dragging strike of Israeli teachers are two of many indicators of the alarming situation in the Israeli economy. We at Feed Israel have been actively involved in a dialogue with the Knesset members and other officials to allocate more efforts to combat poverty. It is unacceptable that in this day and age, Israeli children would have to experience hunger, and Israeli teachers would have no choice but to express their struggles in a global protest.
