The Road Ahead: Our Commitment to You |

UPMC is seeking more COVID-19 vaccines from Pennsylvania. Our goal is ambitious but simple: to immunize as many people in our communities as soon as possible. How Many Vaccines Has UPMC Distributed?
To date, UPMC has given more than 100,000 vaccines to UPMC health care workers, health care workers throughout the communities we serve, and staff and residents of long-term care facilities. We have provided these vaccines rapidly and efficiently under state guidelines. However, supply of COVID-19 vaccines is extremely limited. When Will UPMC Expand Distribution?
We will use our experience and planning to provide vaccinations to the broader community as soon as we have completed vaccinating non-UPMC health care workers who have requested our help. This expanded community rollout will start when and where vaccine supply is available. We’re working to ensure our system is reliable and easy to navigate for all patients, and not just consumers with access to computers and smartphones. We want to ensure that each person who makes an appointment with us will receive a vaccine as scheduled. Does It Matter Where I Receive the Vaccine?
We encourage people to receive the vaccine as soon as they have the opportunity, and to be sure they receive their second dose from the same location. The more people who can be vaccinated, the better we can protect our communities. UPMC is committed to caring for the communities we serve. We urge everyone to protect themselves and others by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing hands. These activities save lives by preventing the spread of COVID-19.
