The date for the 27th annual South African Music Awards (Samas) has finally been revealed.
 

The show, hosted virtually once again, makes its return to SABC 1, airing on 31 July at 20:00. For all the red carpet glitz and glamour, fans can tune into RGB on SABC 1 at 19:30 on the night.
 

In an interview with Channel24, Samas spokesperson Lesley Mofokeng promised that this year's show would be a "one-night extravaganza", adding that organisers were working on creating more of a "live" feel this time around.
