When downtown goes uptown and uptown gets down


Lee Fryd was pulled back from the cloud to an over-the-top celebration of an LGBT aesthetic (Queer Maximalism x Machine Dazzle at MAD) that proclaimed more is more and left little to the imagination. And virtual reality was shed downtown at John C. Mack's "A Species Between Worlds: Our Nature, Our Screens."

The Breakers was alive with 550 people celebrating Coaching Weekend in Newport, R.I., at a dinner dance in honor of the Whips to benefit The Preservation Society of Newport County.
