Fifty-four percent of African-Americans and 61% of Hispanics are at risk of not being able to maintain their standard of living in retirement, compared with 48% of whites, according to an analysis of the National Retirement Risk Index. One contributing factor is that minorities were hit especially hard by the most recent recession and have recovered less of their wealth than whites in the time since.
