When It Feels Like the Sky Is Falling

It’s been a crazy week in the news. Fires ravaged Maui. Heat waves baked the US and Europe. Trump received a fourth indictment, reminding everyone of the contentious coming election that threatens to further strain an already divided nation. Sometimes it really feels like the sky is falling. It may sound like a cliché to say God is in control, but it’s an essential truth to keep in mind.

Getting some perspective helps too. In the latest episode of The Bulletin, Mike Cosper and Nicole Martin are joined by New York Times columnist David Brooks to discuss recent events. CT’s global managing editor, Morgan Pōmaika‘i Lee, joins the conversation to talk about the recent Maui fires.

Speaking of crisis, how do you preach in one? That’s the question this resource aims to answer. It will show you how to use the pulpit to effectively comfort the hurting and how to prepare your church for crisis in advance.
