Designers in Quarantine Now Have Their Own Set of Relatable Emojis

If emojis are meant to convey how we're feeling in the most concise and visual way possible, it's understandable that the current selection wouldn't be up to the challenge of 2020.

That's why design icon Jessica Walsh and her team at &Walsh (formed when she officially split from longtime partner Stefan Sagmeister) have created a new set of emojis specifically to suit the emotional needs of creatives in the quarantine era.

You'll definitely want to browse through the collection to see which ones resonate most with you. I'm a mix of "zombie behind laptop" and "pile of stacked coffee mugs."

While you likely won't see them added to your smartphone's default options anytime soon, they are available for Slack, WhatsApp and a few other platforms.

Yours in frowny spinning beachball of death,
