Intel noticed three years ago that it was losing workers, most notably women and people of color, so it created an online hotline to help resolve issues and stem the attrition. WarmLine, run by case managers of Intel's Global Diversity and Inclusion team, boasts an 82% save rate.

House passes retirement bill in bipartisan vote
The House has voted 417-3 to pass the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act of 2019, which would make changes intended to encourage Americans to save for retirement. Major provisions include removing obstacles to small businesses' offering of retirement plans and making it easier for plans to offer annuities.

Researchers produced a sound so loud it vaporized water
Using an extremely strong X-ray laser, scientists at a Stanford University laboratory created a sound underwater that is equivalent to 270 decibels, which is even louder than a rocket launch. The sound was so loud that its power instantly boiled and vaporized the water around it.
