Where’d the Pride Center go? LGBTQ+ services join the SVSU Office of Multicultural Student Affairs
Officially, the SVSU Pride Center began in 2015 as the last public university-backed LGBTQ+ resource center to form in the state of Michigan. Prior to that, it stemmed from members of an on-campus student organization by the name of Living Proud or the Gay-Straight Alliance. Now, the group has been absorbed into the Multicultural Affairs office with a newly built addition near the Student Life Center.
