Dear John Do,
Last year, the German music industry's turnover came to EUR 17.4 billion or EUR 6.6 billion in gross value added. Hamburg is now a key music centre and accounts for 20 per cent of Germany's gross value added. Hamburg News spoke to Alexander Schulz, CEO of Hamburg Music and founder of the Reeperbahn Festival, about the value of live acts, the demise of clubs and offering promising actors and musicians a stage.

In other news, Hamburg is now the happiest of 16 German states, MOIA is testing combined goods and passenger transport, and nine Hamburg companies have won German Sustainability Awards.
