Freret Street's Pigeon and Whale serves a new take on seafood. Porgy's Market will open in fall from local chefs who want to offer more of the Gulf's delicious bounty. The annual National Fried Chicken Festival announces its dates, while 22 local businesses were singled out for their wine service. Finally, summer meals are simple with Chef Kevin Belton's recipes for chicken shawarma pita and avocado pesto pasta. 1. Rise and dine. Ian McNulty gets lots of questions about great breakfast spots. And almost two dozen New Orleans businesses received kudos from Wine Specatator for their wine service, with three scoring high honors. 4. Wrap it up!
