Universal Orlando Resort is helping address a critical need for affordable housing, especially among hospitality and service workers, with the donation of 20 acres near the upcoming Epic Universe park in Orlando, Fla., for Catchlight Crossings, a 1,000-unit community. The project, now underway, will allocate 60% of units for households earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI), with the remainder going to those earning between 80% and 120% AMI.
Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams said that the labor market is no longer creating inflationary pressure and that the "disinflationary process will continue." Meanwhile, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee suggested that interest rates will likely be "a fair bit lower" a year from now. However, he also noted that it "it may make sense to slow the pace of rate cuts" at some point.
