Utah, Idaho housing markets see boost to inventory as rates strangle buyers |

| | Salt Lake City saw one of the biggest boosts in year-over-year housing market inventory in May, according to new RE/MAX figures. To be precise, Salt Lake's market saw "a 110.8% change in its year-over-year months supply of housing inventory" from the prior May, the report stated. Only one market bested that: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where the month’s supply of inventory increased by 111.9% year-over-year. Katie McKellar noted the realities of the market in Salt Lake despite the report: "So while inventory saw a boost as sales slow, that doesn’t mean there are suddenly plenty of homes to buy. Utah’s housing shortage persists, the market is still extremely tight, competition is still ruthless and prices remain as high as ever." | Sen. Lee also discussed in more detail his text messages to then White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in the media appearance as well. Read more.
