Just when you may have thought the week of exciting news was over, Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon found new homes. Gurley signed a one year deal with the Falcons, where he is expected to take over the recently-vacated Devonta Freeman role. This is probably the best fit for Gurley with no competition for touches as of now, but our guys don't agree on how early you should draft him. Conversely, Gordon landed in an awful spot for Fantasy, as he will split work with Phillip Lindsay, presumably taking on the 2019 Royce Freeman touches. This move hurts both Lindsay and Gordon, making it difficult to be comfortable drafting either as an RB2. And of course the FFT crew gave their instant reactions to both moves in an emergency podcast! We break down the Falcons and Broncos RB situations before comparing Gurley and Gordon to David Johnson, Marlon Mack and others. |
