The desert and arid landscapes do justice to the earthy shades of tans, browns, oranges, golds, and yellows. Sprinkle in a bit of green with an occasional oasis or cultivated field or the souks. |
Siena's Legendary Horse Race, Il Palio
Il Palio to be one of many unique Italian festivals that are as exciting as they are diverse. The famous race takes place twice a year here, once on July 2, and again on August 16.
