There are a lot of cloudy QB situations out there and Brady Quinn feels their pain. Brady actually had the same injury in 2009 that Cam Newton's dealing with now (and even had the same doctor) and says this is what Cam should DEFINITELY do. Pete Prisco is making a vow: He's gonna turn it around. Pete went 6-8 ATS last week, but his rebound starts now and it starts with the Packers, who looked awful in an upset loss last week but will rebound at home (in the snow?) against the Panthers. Pete also says the Cowboys will keep it rolling vs. the Vikings, and get ready for a shocker in the AFC South.

A quarter of the NFL's teams have first-year head coaches, and about midway through the season their winning percentage is a combined .284. Will any of them be one-and-done? Jason La Canfora took a look at each situation, and says that while Zac Taylor and Brian Flores are safe, that's not the case for these others.

As Trent Brown can attest, fortunes can be made by playing well in a contract year. Brown became the NFL's top-paid O-lineman after leaving the Pats for the Raiders, and Joel Corry says there are some contract-year players this season who could do the same.
